Earlier this year, Samsung launched their brand new Galaxy S24 flagship smartphones. But in case the prices of the devices are a bit out of your reach, then you might be interested to learn that the Galaxy S24 FE could be launching soon.
According to a report from 91mobiles, they spotted the Galaxy S24 FE at the BIS certification website. This, at the very least, confirms the device’s existence. It doesn’t really tell us when the phone could launch, but the sighting on the certification website indicates that it could be close.
For context, the Galaxy S23 FE launched back in October last year. This suggests that its successor could see a similar launch date. We’ve actually seen a couple of leaks of the phone’s design back in June. For the most part, it looks like it will adopt the design of the base Galaxy S24 model.
We also heard that in terms of performance, it could actually come pretty close to the flagship models. There was a report dating back in March that suggested that it could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The Galaxy S23 FE, on the other hand, used the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, despite the fact that the Gen 2 existed back in 2023.
This is Samsung’s way of keeping the price lower, so we’re not sure how they will do that with this year’s model. Either way, we’ll keep our eyes peeled for a potential launch date.
