Samsung announced their new Galaxy Buds 3 Pro earbuds last month. Unfortunately, the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro was plagued by some QC issue which thankfully, appears to have been resolved. According to posts on Reddit, it looks like customers who pre-ordered the earbuds are now starting to receive them.
For those learning about this for the first time, basically users were discovering that when they tried to swap out the default ear tips for the other sizes, the ear tips tore during the removal process.
The ear tips are similar to that of the Apple AirPods Pro. The silicone pieces are attached to a small plastic cup that is then attached to the earbuds. To remove them, users have to tug on the silicone pieces to unlatch them from the earbuds. However, it seems that the material used was not up to scratch, resulting in them tearing off.
This led to Samsung hitting the brakes on the pre-orders and shipments of the earbuds until it was resolved.
It’s safe to assume that Samsung has managed to resolve this if they are shipping it out to customers. So if your order of the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro was delayed due to the QC problems, you should get the shipping notification soon.
