Motorola adds a new phone to their Edge 50 series

One of the things Motorola is known for is creating great value for money Android smartphones. In fact, over in India, it seems that Motorola has debuted a brand new handset in the form of the Motorola Edge 50. This is the latest entry in their Edge 50 series and seems to sit between the Fusion and Pro models.

The handset features a 6.67-inch pOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. It also has a peak brightness of 1,900 nits with HDR10+ support. The display is covered by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5 and supports Smart Water Touch technology. This basically lets you use the phone even if your fingers are wet.

Under the hood, the phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset. It’s not the latest or most powerful chipset, but it should be good enough. It is also paired with 8GB of RAM and comes with up to 256GB of storage. Despite it being a mid-range, it packs a triple camera setup on the back.

This includes a 50MP primary camera, a 10MP 3x telephoto lens, and a 13MP ultrawide. It comes with a 5,000mAh battery and is also MIL-STD 810H rated. Shoppers on a budget can also look forward to using AI features courtesy of Google and Motorola, with features like Magic Erase, Photo Unlur, Adaptive Stabilization, Smart Color Optimization, and more.
