ASUS recently announced a new addition to its Republic of Gamers (ROG) product lineup, in the form of the Azoth Extreme. ASUS says that it’s a “custom 75% gaming keyboard” that features an aluminum-allow chassis and a metal frame, which blends performance with some sleek aesthetics.
Priced at around $500, ASUS has packed quite a lot of functionality into the keyboard. For one, there’s an adjustable gasket mount which allows users to tweak their typing exprience with a quick-flip switch on the bottom of the keyboard. There’s also a built-in 1.47-inch full-color OLED display which can show various types of information including keyboard connection status, Caps Lock, and PC/Mac mode indicators, for example.
The keyboard can also achieve up to 8000 Hz polling rate when used with the ROG Polling Rate Booster, and ASUS says that it can last for up to 1600 hours of battery life.
The Azoth Extreme also comes with pre-lubed ROG NX mechanical switches for smoother keystrokes and better acoustics. There’s Tri-mode connectivity that allows users to connect devices either through Bluetooth, low-latency ROG SpeedNova 2.4 GHz RF wireless, or standard wired USB. Additionally, there’s a bundled silicone wrist rest that matches the keyboard and adds some much-needed comfort during usage.
