Looks like Google Might be Charging More for the Pixel 9
With Google now expected to launch its latest Pixel 9 series at an earlier date this year (versus its usual October schedule), there’s been talk of how much the new phones could cost this time around. With that in mind, French website Dealabs claims that some of Google’s latest handsets will see a price hike on launch.
It’s important to note that the Pixel 9 will come in four different variants – a regular “base model” Pixel 9, a small Pixel 9 Pro, a larger Pixel 9 Pro model, and a Pixel 9 Fold. Based on the website listing, we might see higher prices, at least if the reports are confirmed:

Google Pixel 9: Available in Obsidian (Volcanic Black), Porcelain, Cosmo, and Mojito, the 128GB model will cost 899 euros, while the 256GB model will cost 999 euros.

Google Pixel 9 Pro: The Pro model will come in Obsidian, Porcelain, Hazel (Sage Green), and Pink, with the 128GB variant starting at 1,099 euros, while the 256GB and 512GB models will cost 1,199 euros and 1,329 euros respectively.

Google Pixel 9 Pro XL: Meanwhile, the XL model will be available in Obsidian, Porcelain, and Hazel. The 128GB model will start at 1,199 euros, while the 256GB and 512GB models will go for 1,299 euros and 1,429 euros respectively, and the 1TB model will be priced at 1,689 euros.

Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold: Google’s new foldable will only come in Obsidian and Porcelain colors. The 256GB model will start at 1,899 euros, while the 512GB model will cost 2,029 euros.
Compared to the Pixel 8, the Pixel 9 ‘s prices are up from €100 to €140 for the 128GB and 256GB models, respectively. Likewise, the 256GB and 512GB Pixel 9 Pro models see a slight price increase at around €40 versus the Pixel 8 Pro from last year.
It’s predicted that these prices will apply not only for France but for the rest of the EU as well; with that said though, these prices might not accurately reflect what the US might end up getting, as international pricing often differs stateside.
