Strava recently revealed that it was launching a new Family Plan, which is essentially a shared annual subscription plan. The new Family Plan offers users a plan that they can share with anyone they’d like, provided that all members live within the same country and are not current subscribers.
Strava’s Family Plan gives members full access to a suite of subscription features., including weekly goals, workout analysis and insights, Group Challenges, as well as the ability to create, discover, and share routes. Commenting on the new plan, Zipporah Allen, Chief Business Officer at Strava notes:
The magic of Strava lies in the motivation that’s found in our global community… Our belief is that people keep people active and the new Family Plan makes it even easier to make a fitness commitment together. It’s about more than just setting shared goals; it’s about embracing shared passions and celebrating collective progress.
The Strava Family Plan will be available in 32 countries, and users can share a Family Plan with up to a maximum of three other people. Strava adds that the annual Family Plan offers up to 50% savings on average compared to an individual annual subscription, especially when shared among four people.
