OnePlus could be working on a 7000mAh phone!

The battery life on our smartphones are still a little contentious. While we have gotten fast charging, the overall battery sizes are still a bit too small. The good news is that it looks like OnePlus and Oppo could be working on a new phone that could be packing a massive 7000mAh battery.

This is according to a post on Weibo by Digital Chat Station who claims that this handset could be a mid-range device. It’s actually kind of interesting because a lot of phones that tend to come with larger than average batteries tend to fall in the mid-range category. You would think a more power-hungry flagship could benefit more from a large battery.

Also, we have to wonder how this could play into the OnePlus Glacier Battery tech. The company unveiled their Glacier Battery tech last month. This is basically a new type of battery that offers a larger capacity without actually being larger physically. This would allow companies to maintain the overall thinness of their devices while offering a larger battery.

There’s no word on when this OnePlus phone with a 7000mAh battery will launch, but if battery life is a huge priority for you, then it could be worth keeping an eye out for in the future.
