Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra could borrow the Note 7’s design
For the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, Samsung returned to using a flat display over the slightly more curved displays it used in the past. The overall design of the phone is also somewhat reminiscent of the Nokia Lumia series, with a flat top and bottom but curved edges. That design language is expected to change with the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
According to a post on X by tipster Ice Universe, they claim that Samsung could actually borrow some design elements from the Note 7 for the Galaxy S25 Ultra. More specifically, apparently the Galaxy S25 Ultra will be rounder in general compared to its predecessor. This might be a good thing and it’s also kind of refreshing if true.

This is because for the past several “Ultra” generations, Samsung has largely kept a similar design language. We suppose this is to help the Ultra lineup standout more from the other Galaxy S-series models. We’ve nothing against the design, but after several years, it could be time for a change.
According to the rumors, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to maintain the same quad camera setup. An interesting rumor also suggests that Samsung could be considering the use of MediaTek chipsets for its 2025 flagship phones. This is due to the rising costs of Qualcomm’s chipsets, and also the low yield of its own Exynos chips.
