While companies like Google have altogether given up on cloud-based AAA gaming, it looks like industry veterans such as Microsoft’s Xbox division have doubled-down on their efforts to bring game-streaming services to more players worldwide. This time though, Microsoft has turned to Amazon to bring over Xbox Game Pass Ultimate to select Amazon devices.
More specifically, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will be available on the Amazon TV Fire Stick 4K Max and Fire TV Stick 4K starting in July. This is probably the most low-cost way to access Xbox’s massive library of Game Pass titles, which includes games like Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II, Starfield, and Forza Horizon 5, to name a few. The service will be available in over 25 countries.
With that being said, players only need to install and launch the Xbox app from their Fire TV device, and sign in with their Microsoft account to play. Additionally, wireless controllers such as Xbox Wireless Controller, Xbox Adaptive Controller, PlayStation DualSense and DualShock 4 controller will be compatible with the app.
