HTC disappoints us again with a lackluster HTC U24 Pro

A couple of months ago, it was rumored that HTC could be working on a new phone. The company later teased the launch of the device. For those who are curious, wonder no more as HTC has officially taken the wraps off its latest smartphone in the form of the HTC U24 Pro!

As the name implies, the HTC U24 Pro is the successor to the U23 Pro launched last year. It’s not a flagship phone by any means, so let’s get that out of the way. Instead, it appears to be a mid-range handset.

The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 and features a 6.8-inch 1080p OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is paired with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The phone’s storage can be further expanded thanks to a microSD card slot. As for its cameras, the phone features a triple camera setup.

This consists of a 50MP main with OIS, a 50MP telephoto, and an 8MP ultrawide. There’s also a 50MP front-facing shooter for your selfie needs. The handset also packs a 4,600mAh battery with support for 60W wired charging, 15W wireless, and 5W reverse wireless. HTC will be selling the U24 Pro starting at TWD18,990. It’s expected ot head to Europe, but unlikely to ever make it to the US shores.
