Looks like Nothing Might be Launching a CMF Phone Soon

Nothing’s expansion of its product offerings under the budget-oriented CMF brand has proved to be relatively successful, with the company launching a CMF smartwatch and wireless earbuds a while back. With that being said, it looks like we’re getting another new CMF product, this time in the form of a smartphone.

Following a rather mysterious Tweet from Nothing’s social media page, many speculated that the company was working on a new smartphone (which some predicted as the Nothing Phone 3), although new posts from a couple of different sources provide a bit more insight. According to one of the posts, Nothing’s original Tweet references the “Nothing Lock,” a mechanism which will allow users to attach different accessories to the phone.

Coincidentally, the Nothing Lock (as it’s unofficially referred to at the moment) is a feature that’s speculated to be in an upcoming CMF model handset.

Another post lists some specs for the device, which includes a 6.7-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 processor, 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and either 128GB or 256GB of expandable storage. The phone is also rumored to feature a dual camera system with a 50MP main sensor and a 50MP ultrawide sensor, and will run on a 5000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging.

It’s also predicted that the phone will be priced starting at $249 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage option, and is expected to launch in mid-July. In any case, “nothing” is official unless the company itself says so.
