With all the success that Apple has gotten with its Apple Silicon computers, it seems that PC OEMs are rushing to catch up. We’ve already seen a few Arm-powered laptops and devices from companies like Microsoft, and now it looks like ASUS is getting in on the action with its new Vivobook S series of computers.

The ASUS Vivobook S laptops are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite chipset. The laptop features a 15.6-inch display with a 3K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It also uses ASUS’ Lumina OLED display tech and comes with a Harman Kardon-certified Dolby Atmos audio system.

The laptop itself features an aluminum chassis and measures 1.47cm thin and weighs just 1.42kg. This makes it incredibly light. According to ASUS, the Vivobook S 15 has a battery life of up to 18 hours, which should more or less guarantee you a full day’s use. As it is powered by Windows 11, it will be a Copilot+ PC. This is just a fancy way of saying that it will come with Microsoft’s Copilot AI integration.

The ASUS Vivobook S 15 is priced starting at CA$1,599. It is expected to start shipping out later this month. According to the company, additional configurations of the laptop are being planned for early Q3 2024.
