The battery tech on our smartphones hasn’t really improved that. Instead of longer-lasting batteries, we got phones that can charge faster. We suppose that’s a decent alternative. If the charging speeds of the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra were a little disappointing, then maybe the Razr 50 Ultra could make up for it.
According to a report from MySmartPrice, they have discovered the 3C certification for the upcoming Motorola Razr 50 Ultra. From the listing, it has been revealed that the handset will support 68W charging speeds. For context, this makes the Razr 50 Ultra the fastest charging clamshell foldable smartphone in the market to date.
It beats out the Xiaomi Mix Flip which has charging speeds of 67W. It also more than doubles what the Razr 40 Ultra offered, which was 30W. The report also claims that the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra could come with a 4,000mAh battery. This is slightly larger by around 200mAh compared to its predecessor.
So, combine the larger battery with faster charging speeds and the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra sounds like a winner. A photo of the handset was leaked just recently, but it seems that Motorola isn’t making any obvious design changes. Instead, the upgrades we expect will be mostly under the hood.
