Cheaper Samsung Galaxy Watch FE spotted at the FCC

0

At the next Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event, we expect the company to announce its new Galaxy Watch 7 smartwatches. But according to the rumors, the Galaxy Watch 7 won’t be the only new smartwatch. The rumors are claiming that Samsung could be planning a cheaper Galaxy Watch FE model.

Now according to a recent FCC filing, those rumors might be correct. The filing lists the various models for the Galaxy Watch 7. All these models share a similar naming scheme which is SM-L3XX. But there is one model that stands out and it has the model number SM-R861.

Some of you might think it could be the Galaxy Watch 7 Pro. But as PhoneArena notes, the Pro models have the model numbers SM-L700 and SM-L705. This means that this SM-R861 model could actually be for the rumored Galaxy Watch FE. If that’s true, it could be good news for Samsung users.

The Galaxy Watch 6 series isn’t exactly expensive, but it’s not that cheap either. Having a new and cheaper model could encourage customers to buy one of Samsung’s smartwatches. We’re not sure how much cheaper it will be compared to the Galaxy Watch 7, so we’ll have to wait and see.
