Google’s Rolled-out a New Pixel Update for Connectivity Issues

Google’s Pixel phones have occasionally faced mixed reception due to their signal issues, especially when it comes to calls, network and internet connectivity (you know, what most people use their phone for). With that in mind, it looks like Google’s started rolling out a second April update for Pixel devices, which has begun arriving for Verizon users.

The update will be available for Verizon-locked Pixel 8 and Pixel 7 phones, and will be available for more Pixel users within the following weeks, and comes with software version number AP1A.240405.002.B1. A lot of Pixel connectivity issues can be attributed to the modem within the phone.

Recently, it was reported that the Pixel 9 will come with a new Samsung Modem 5400 via the Tensor G4 chip, which is expected to be a significant upgrade over previous Samsung modems that Google has used in the past. Going back to the new April update, Pixel 8 and 7 users are advised to check if their device is eligible for the new software patch.
