MediaTek’s Dimensity-series chips are among some of the better SoCs that we’ve seen on the market lately, and the company recently expanded its lineup with the new Dimensity 6300 chipset, which brings some pretty nifty upgrades for midrange smart devices.
These include faster CPU speeds of up to 2.4GHz, which MediaTek says provides up to 10% faster gaming than predecessors, and over 50% GPU performance advantage versus competing platforms. MediaTek claims that its dedicated “HyperEngine” technologies can extend gameplay through up to 11% power-efficiency enhancements, up to 13% greater FPS in demanding gameplay scenes, as well as smarter connection prediction between 5G and Wi-Fi, 5G Call/Data concurrency for online play sessions.
In terms of camera hardware features, the chip comes with support for 108MP camera sensors, allowing for more detailed pictures. There’s also pre-integrated multi-frame noise reduction, which is able to deliver more stable and clear images in low-light situations.
The 6300 also comes with support for billion color displays of up to 2520 x 1080 pixel resolutions, and true color AMOLED that can display real 10-bit images and videos and up to 120Hz refresh rates for a more improved visual user experience.
