Xiaomi’s wide selection of smartphones under its different sub-brands knows no limits, and the company has once again expanded its smartphone range with the launch of the Redmi Turbo 3. Right now the phone is exclusive for buyers in China and is priced starting at around $276, although there’s a slightly more expensive Harry Potter edition (wizards are still “in,” it seems) with a more extravagant look.
The Redmi Turbo 3 is one of the first smartphones to come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, a slightly toned-down version of the regular 8 Gen 3 chipset. This is available with up to 16GB of RAM and a whopping 1TB of internal storage, all powered by a 5,000 mAh battery. In front you’ll find a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with a 2,712 x 1,220 pixel resolution, in addition to a 120hz refresh rate.
The phone also features a dual-camera setup on the rear with a 50MP primary lens, in addition to an 8MP ultra-wide lens. Meanwhile, selfies and video calls are handled by a 20MP front-facing camera.
Finally, the phone comes pre-installed with Android 14, although it does come with Xiaomi’s custom Hyper OS skin installed, with access to exclusive Xiaomi software and pre-loaded third-party applications.
