It’s that time of the year again – with people all over the internet getting into the spirit of April Fool’s, there’s little doubt that a lot of us might fall for a harmless little prank or two, especially when it comes to tech news. As such, it looks like a simple post over on X/Twitter has some people worried about a certain Google app.
More specifically, a post by the @killedbygoogle account (which lists down services killed by Google) states that Google will be shutting down Google Keep, its official note app. The post has prompted a number of users to reply with worry regarding the “news,” although some were quick to point out that it is indeed, April 1st.
I can’t believe Google is shutting down Google Keep.

With that being said, it’s unlikely that Google will shut down Keep in the first place – the company recently announced that it will be making some changes to the app which will allow users to create lists faster based on context. It should be noted that not all users have received the feature yet, so we do advise keeping an eye on your Google Keep app just in case it finally arrives on your device.
With all that said, users can rest assured that Google Keep is here to stay, at least for the time being.
