Meet the ROG Cetra True Wireless SpeedNova Earbuds

The wireless earbuds market is a bit of a crowded space, and a lot of manufacturers do what they can in order to stand out either by offering buyers premium-tier products, or going a more budget-friendly route while integrating key features which make up for performance. Of course, other brands go the extra mile via hardware geared to a specific audience.

With that in mind, ASUS seems to be taking the latter route with the new ROG Cetra True Wireless SpeedNova earbuds (yes, it’s quite a mouthful). The earbuds feature 2.4 GHz wireless technology for low-latency audio, as well as up to 24-bit / 96 kHz audiowith  Dirac Opteo technology.

The earbuds also come with the usual wireless earbud features, including active noise cancelling and transparency mode, multipoint connectivity, and up to 46 hours of battery life.

Perhaps more interestingly, the ROG SpeedNovas feature an angular design with gamer-centric accents, similar to what ASUS does with its ROG phones and laptops (unsurprisingly). They also come with built-in RGB lighting, with up to 16.8 million colors and includes four preset light effects. The earbuds are a bit pricey though, coming in at $200.
