If you’re in the market for a fairly-new streaming microphone, then you’re in luck – ASUS recently announced the launch of the new ROG Carnyx, a cardioid USB microphone that the company says is designed for professional-grade use, with a nice set of features and premium design.
The Carnyx packs a 5 mm condenser capsule and support for 24‑bit/192 kHz sampling rate, in addition to a high-pass filter that reduces low-frequency noise, a built-in pop filter, and a metal shock mount that reduces external vibrations. For controls, the microphone comes with a one-touch mute button and multi-functional control knob that allow users to access different mic settings.

The Carnyx also comes with ASUSs Aura Sync RGB lighting, which offers six preset lighting effects accessible via the Armoury Crate app. Additionally, streamers and creators can use the app to tinker with additional customization options for EQ profiles and other settings.
In terms of price, the ASUS ROG Carnyx microphone is a bit on the affordable side, at least as far as USB microphones are concerned. The Carnyx is priced starting at around $180 for buyers in North America, which makes it even more affordable than the ROG Cetra True Wireless SpeedNova Earbuds.
