Google’s “Circle to Search” Feature not Working for some Samsung Users

0

Google’s AI-powered “Circle to Search” feature is probably one of the more interesting new features on Android at the moment, although it’s currently limited to a select number of devices including the Pixel 8 and 7 series, as well as the Galaxy S24 series. In the case of the latter however, some Samsung users are reporting problems using the new search function.

As mentioned in Samsung’s community forums, a handful of Galaxy S24 Ultra owners have reported that Circle to Search hasn’t been working properly for them. Upon initiating the feature, some folks were met with an error message stating “It looks like there aren’t many great matches for your search.”

Some users were quick to point out that a recent Google update might be the culprit, advising others to head on over to the Play Store and uninstall the most recent update to the Google app. Others note that a simple device reboot fixed the issue, albeit temporarily.

Circle to Search works by providing faster access to Google image search – all a user has to do is tap and hold on their navigation bar or home button on their screen, wait for an animation prompt, and then draw a circle around anything on their display that they want to search for. The feature was first introduced for Pixel 8 and Galaxy S24 devices a few months back.
