Microsoft’s Surface series of tablets and computers have been some of the most eye-catching Windows-powered consumer devices available on the market, and have played a part in establishing Microsoft’s status beyond software development – with that said, it’s been a while since the last big Surface product launch, although that might all change soon.
More specifically, it’s rumored that Microsoft might launch new Surface devices later this month, as noted by the folks over at The Verge. According to an anonymous source, the company is preparing to launch new Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6 hardware, aimed at business and commercial customers. The rumored launch is expected to take place on March 21st.
As such, the new devices might only feature minor spec bumps for the Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6 commercial models, although a “larger redesign” is expected for the consumer models of both devices, which includes a new OLED display for the consumer-grade model of the Surface Pro 10. Of course at this point anything is possible given that nothing has been officially announced yet, but a new Surface refresh is most welcome especially for fans of the device line.
In other Microsoft-related news, the company recently announced that it will soon deprecate its Windows Subsystem for Android, which enabled Windows 11 to run Android apps.
