Looks Like We’re Getting a New Mobile Pokemon TCG Game Soon

0

Following today’s Pokemon Presents showcase, The Pokemon Company announced that it will be bringing a new game for mobile devices in the form of “Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket.” The game is scheduled to arrive for both Android and iOS this year, and does feature a new approach to digital card collecting.

While it’s not the first Pokemon TCG to hit mobile devices, it does differ in the way that it gives an extra emphasis on card collecting, with players being able to collect up to two free packs per day. There’s a bit of combat as well, with rules based on the actual Pokemon TCG. As per the game’s official announcement post:

‘Experience the fun of collecting Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) cards with Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket, an upcoming game for iOS and Android devices from Creatures Inc., the original developers of the Pokémon TCG, and DeNA Co., Ltd.”

“In this game, you will be able to open two booster packs every day at no cost. You can collect digital cards featuring nostalgic artwork from the past as well as brand-new cards that are exclusive to Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket.”

Since the game is digital, players will also have the chance to collect “immersive cards,” which feature a 3D-like effect in their artwork.
