Xiaomi obviously didn’t hold back in showing off its newest devices during MWC 2024, with the Chinese tech giant unleashing a massive wave of tech in addition to its shiny new 14-series flagship smartphones. As such, Xiaomi also unveiled several new smart wearables consisting of a Wear OS device, a fitness band, as well as a more “standard” smartwatch.
With regards to the latter, Xiaomi announced the launch of the Xiaomi Watch S3, a rather versatile device which features a classic watch design, in addition to a very attractive price tag – for context, the device comes in at just around 149 EUR, undercutting a lot of other rivals on the market such as entries from Huawei, Mobvoi, and more.
The Xiaomi Watch S3 comes with a 1.43-inch AMOLED display wrapped inside an aluminum alloy frame, with the option to swap out bezels and straps. Users can simply twist the bezel snap a new one into place to add a bit of customizability, going beyond the confines of digital watch faces. It also features up to two days of battery life on average, which is a nice feature to have.
The device runs on Xiaomi’s custom HyperOS system, which ties in nicely to the rest of Xiaomi’s hardware ecosystem allowing users to interact with notifications from their smartphone. The Watch S3 also offers over 150 sports modes to choose from, L1+L5 dual-band GNSS, 10 different running courses, a wide selection of health monitoring features including a 12-channel heart rate monitoring module, as well as Xiaomi’s “sleep animal function” that generates a “Sleep Animal” representing a user’s sleep condition based on a 7-day sleep pattern.
Interested buyers can grab the Xiaomi Watch S3 from Xiaomi’s official website.
