Capcom’s Monster Hunter series of action role-playing games are undoubtedly among some of the most popular video game franchises out there, having dominated different platforms including consoles, handhelds, and even mobile phones. With that in mind, it looks like “Monster Hunter Stories” – a spinoff title for the 3DS and mobile platforms – will be headed to the Nintendo Switch later this summer.

A spin-off title of the main Monster Hunter series, MH Stories features a different take on Capcom’s MH universe, and incorporates turn-based combat as well as monster collecting in addition to a new story-driven solo campaign. The game was first released on the Nintendo 3DS back in 2016, and later on mobile devices in 2017.
In addition to improved visuals, the Monster Hunter Stories port for Switch will feature full voice acting, as well as a new “Museum Mode” with artwork and media previously exclusive to the game’s Japanese release. Capcom hasn’t given a definite date for the game’s launch however other than the “Summer 2024” release window, so fans looking forward to playing the game on their Switch will want to keep an eye out for updates.
