Nothing Finally Teases the Phone 2a’s Launch Date

0

Following weeks of rumors, speculation and leaks, it seems that Nothing has finally given fans an official launch date for its upcoming midrange Android phone, the Nothing Phone 2a. The event was confirmed by Nothing, with the teaser quote “fresh eyes” – most likely pertaining to the redesigned camera module on the phone’s rear panel.

With that being said, the launch event will take place on Tuesday, March 5 at 11:30am GMT / 6:30am ET and will be streamed on Nothing’s official YouTube channel. The Nothing Phone 2a is the company’s first entry-to-mid range smartphone, a contrast from the first two Nothing Phone models.

Not too long ago, an image render showing the alleged design of the Nothing Phone 2a was shared online by the folks over at Smartprix.com in collaboration with @OnLeaks, showing a design that doesn’t stray too far from the existing Nothing Phone 1 and 2.

However, Smartprix has since retracted its original post, citing inaccuracies with the design presented in the render. In an updated post, Smartprix acknowledged that a different set of design renders (which were shared by leaker Evan Blass) are the more accurate representation of the Nothing Phone 2a, with a redesigned camera module on the rear panel.

In any case, we’re bound to see the official Nothing Phone 2a’s design and specs sheet soon, once Nothing holds its launch event.
