One UI 6.0 update is turning some Samsung phone screens yellow

0

Phone updates are supposed to be a good thing, especially major updates, but that isn’t always the case. Case in point, Samsung’s One UI 6.0 update. Users on the Samsung Community forums and Reddit are reporting that their phone screens have turned yellow following the update.

It doesn’t seem like this is specific to any particular model, just those that are eligible for the One UI 6.0 update. It is also unclear how widespread the issue is. Users claim that this is happening even though dark mode and eye comfort are not enabled. Samsung hasn’t commented on the issue yet, but hopefully they are aware of it and a fix will come soon.

The good news is that there appears to be a potential solution. Interestingly enough, this fix was found in a Reddit post from 6 years ago, but yet it applies and seems to work for some users. To fix this problem, users will have to download Nova Launcher and follow the steps in the video above.

Some users are reporting mixed results when trying the solution. It works for some, but not for others, so your mileage may vary. It is still worth trying since it is relatively low-effort. If it doesn’t work, then we’ll just have to wait for Samsung to issue a fix for their yellow phone screens, which hopefully won’t take too long.
