Last December, Honor and Porsche Design announced that they will be working together to design new smartphones. It looks like their collaboration has borne fruit in the form of the brand new Honor Magic V2 RSR.
The Honor Magic V2 smartphone itself isn’t new. The foldable was introduced back in 2023, but this version is basically the same, just with a new look. This means that users can expect the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, 16GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage. It will also feature a 7.92-inch foldable OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and an external 6.43-inch display also with a 120Hz refresh rate.
The main (and only difference) here is in its design. Honor and Porsche Design have given the Magic V2 RSR a more sportscar-like look. The camera module has been given a more angular and aggressive look with Porsche’s signature “Flyline”. The phone also features a “Sports car fiberglass body”.
It’s not a bad look and we can appreciate the more aggressive design choice. The Honor Magic V2 RSR Porsche Design is priced starting at CNY 15,999. It will initially only be available in China, but Honor says there are plans to bring it to global markets eventually.
