Samsung to Showcase New Gaming Monitors at CES 2024

CES 2024 is just around the corner, and we’re bound to see a ton of new and interesting tech from different brands and manufacturers. Of course, big players such as Samsung are sure to be present at the event, and it looks like the company has something new to start off the new year with.

Samsung recently announced that it will officially debut its new line of gaming monitors during CES 2024 – the monitors will be part of the Odyssey range, and will include the Odyssey G9, G8, and G6 models.

The Odyssey G9 features a 49-inch curved ultra-wide display with a 5,120 x 1,440 resolution screen with 240Hz refresh rate and 32:9 aspect ratio, while the G8 comes with a flat 32-inch 4K display and a 16:9 aspect ratio, as well as a 240Hz refresh rate. Meanwhile, the G6 packs a 27-inch display with a 2,560 x 1,440 resolution and 16:9 aspect ratio, in addition to a 360Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms GTG response time.

For physical connectivity, the new monitors will feature two HDMI 2.1 ports, a USB hub and a DisplayPort 1.4 input. For the G9 and G8, Samsung includes built-in access to its SmartThings Hub for added integration with compatible IoT devices around users’ homes. Samsung has also included Core Lighting+ on the G8 and G6, which displays ambient lighting at the back of the monitor during usage.

Additionally, the G9 and G8 come with Samsung’s Smart TV platform and Gaming Hub, which provide access to different streaming services, as well as support for select gaming titles from various partners.
