For physical connectivity, the new monitors will feature two HDMI 2.1 ports, a USB hub and a DisplayPort 1.4 input. For the G9 and G8, Samsung includes built-in access to its SmartThings Hub for added integration with compatible IoT devices around users’ homes. Samsung has also included Core Lighting+ on the G8 and G6, which displays ambient lighting at the back of the monitor during usage.
Additionally, the G9 and G8 come with Samsung’s Smart TV platform and Gaming Hub, which provide access to different streaming services, as well as support for select gaming titles from various partners.
