0

Last month, Nubia debuted their latest flagship phone, the Red Magic 9 Pro, the successor to the Nubia Red Magic 8 pro. The handset was originally announced in China, but the good news is that if you’re thinking about getting the phone, Nubia has since announced its global availability.

The handset is expected to be available for pre-order from Nubia’s global website on December 27, 2023 where it will be priced starting at $649, and open sales will be available on the 3rd of January in case you miss the pre-order window.

For those who are hearing about the phone for the first time, the Nubia Red Magic 9 Pro is one of the first few handsets to launch in 2023 with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, putting it in the same league as other handset makers such as Xiaomi and OnePlus. The phone will also come with 12 or 16GB of RAM, and 256 or 512GB of storage.

It also comes with a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a 2480×1116 resolution and 120Hz refresh rate with up to 1,600 nits in peak brightness. There is a triple camera setup on the back that consists of a 50MP wide, a 50MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro, and a 16MP front-facing shooter.

It will come with Android 14 preinstalled and in the battery department, there is a massive 6,500mAh battery with support for 80W charging. It is clearly designed as a gaming phone as there are also pressure-sensitive shoulder triggers, a gaming mode that can be enabled using the dedicated slider, and a built-in fan that can reach speeds of up to 22,000 RPM.
