Oppo’s next flagship phone has a very questionable camera design

0

Remember back in the day when the camera modules on our phones sat flush with the design of the phone? These days, camera modules bulging out from the back is the norm, but Oppo could take the cake here.

According to a leaked photo shared on Weibo, it shows off the back of what appears to be the upcoming Oppo Find X7 Pro where it seems that the handset will sport an octagon camera module on the back of the phone.

We’ll admit that in terms of design, it’s ugly as sin, but if you can put aside the looks for a moment, its specs seem rather promising. According to the rumors, the Oppo Find X7 Pro could feature the use of a 1-inch Sony sensor, which means that we should be able to expect some insane levels of quality.

The other rumored camera specs include two periscope lenses that should offer up some pretty crazy levels of zoom. Of course, it will boil down to the software Oppo chooses to use and whether or not it can process the images captured by the hardware successfully, but on paper it does sound promising.

Since nothing official has been announced, take this leak with a grain of salt for now. It is possible that this photo could either be a fake or a prototype, so we’ll have to wait for the official announcement to get a better idea of what to expect.
