Cover all your bases with OMBAR’s three channel dash cam

0

Getting into a car accident, big or small, sucks. There’s really no two ways around it. Reports need to be filed, claims need to be made, and then you most probably need to fight with your insurance company on how much they will award you, if at all.

This is why having a dash cam is important in situations like these. It can help provide context and video evidence, so even if the other party is telling a different story, the video from your dash cam can help back up those claims.

That being said, not all dash cams are made equal. If you’re looking for a dash cam that can offer the ultimate protection, then perhaps the OMBAR dash cam with three channels could be worth taking a look at.

Triple protection

Most dash cams have the camera pointed towards the road in front of the driver. Some models do come with a rear cam, but OMBAR’s dash cam has them all beat with a triple protection setup, or a three channel dash cam if you prefer.

This means that not only does it record videos in the front of your car, the rear of your car, but it can also record footage inside of your car! This is actually pretty useful because there might be times when having inside footage can be important and critical.

This might be useful for ride-hailing drivers who might need to record footage inside their vehicle when passengers are present in event there is a dispute. It can also come in handy for times when you might be pulled over by the police in which they might claim you weren’t wearing your seatbelt or were on the phone, and if you haven’t done those things, the video footage can back up your claims.

All in all, it’s not a bad thing to have multiple angles going on at once, and even if you don’t need it, the way the OMBAR dash cam has been designed you can easily remove the cameras if you don’t need them, which we’ll touch on more later in this article.

There is also a built-in G-sensor that can automatically detect when a collision happens, and there are also dual parking modes you can choose from to make sure that your cameras are rolling all the time even when your car is parked so that in the event something happens, you’ll have video evidence.

Last but not least, the cameras have also been designed to weather extreme temperatures of up to -4C to 158F, so even in the winter or the peak of summer, the cameras will still be able to continue to operate.

High quality video recording

What good is a dash cam if the footage you’re getting is potato quality and you can’t even make out the license plate of the car in front or behind you? That would completely defeat the point of owning a dash cam to begin with.

Luckily, OMBAR has ensured that the footage captured by its dash cam is high quality where you can capture up to 4K footage. We say up to 4K because depending on how many cameras you’ve got running, the quality will differ. According to OMBAR, you can get 4K/2K/1080P & 1080P front and rear, or 4K/2K/1080P & 1080P front and inside while using it as a dual camera setup, or 2K+1080P+1080P as a triple camera setup.

The front facing camera will also offer 170-degree viewing angles, while the rear and inside cameras will have 150-degree angles, which generally speaking should be good enough to capture whatever it is you need to capture.

There is also IR Night Vision capabilities so even when driving at night, the cameras will still be able to record decent footage if you need it.

The cameras also come with its own built-in WiFi that will allow it to transfer videos from the camera to your phone, saving you the time of having to remove the memory card and transferring it to your PC.

Easy to setup and store

Usually when people mount a dash cam in their cars they leave it there. If you’d rather not take the risk of someone seeing your shiny new dash cam and breaking into your car and stealing it, the OMBAR dash cam has actually been designed in such a way that putting it together and taking it apart is very easy.

This is because the dash cam relies on a magnetic bracket with a detectable design. If you’d rather not leave your cameras out in the open for everyone to see (and potentially steal), all you need to do is ensure the cameras are powered down and remove them and maybe lock it in your glove compartment or take it with you in your backpack.

This setup also means that putting the camera back together or setting it up for the first time will be relatively easy.

Pricing & availability

If you’re interested in getting your hands on the OMBAR dash cam, it is actually decently priced given all of its features. You can opt to get the three channel bundle that is priced at $170, but if you think that you only need a dual channel setup, you can save a bit of money as it will be priced slightly lower at $140. You can place your order via OMBAR’s Amazon page.
