Just recently, we got word that Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy A55 midrange phone might come with a capable chipset and overall performance, based on some early benchmark tests listed online. With that being said, it looks like we now have an idea of what the A55 will look like, based on product renders posted online.
The images come from the folks over at MySmartPrice in collaboration with @Onleaks, and showcase the Galaxy A55 from different angles. Based on the photos, it seems that Samsung’s upcoming midranger will feature a metal frame on the sides with a unique design accent near the buttons, and much smaller bezels around the display.
In terms of performance, it’s predicted that the Galaxy A55 will be powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 1480 chipset, and will work alongside the Xclipse 530 GPU. The Xclipse 530 is based on AMD’s RDNA architecture, a result of a partnership between Samsung and AMD.
Going back to the phone’s design though, the Galaxy A55 bears a striking resemblance to the Galaxy A54 and S23 series, which is unsurprising given Samsung’s move to implement a more uniform design across its Android smartphone roster, including individual camera bumps, flat sides, and a rounded form factor (save for the S-Ultra handsets).
