New Update Arrives for Samsung’s TV Plus Streaming Service

If you own a device with support for Samsung TV Plus, then you might want to check for a new update – the company recently announced that it was bringing some new and useful software features for its free streaming service, which focus on making content even more easily accessible. The update covers more than 2,500 channels in 24 countries where TV Plus is available.

For one, the new update includes a revamped home screen menu that features a general overview of content available for viewing, as well as newly-added categories on the left side of the home screen. These now include sections such as Live TV, Movies/TV Shows, Music, Kids and Settings, and more.

Samsung adds that region-specific tabs are now available based on each region’s content catalogue, which includes the Music tab for the U.S., Australia, and New Zealand, Kids tab for the U.S., Europe, Brazil, Mexico, and India, and the News tab for India with added multilingual support.

The update also improves the Video on Demand (VOD) listings, and users can now access their VOD from the channel guide with support for instant playback of select programs. Samsung also added a new “More Like This” feature that offers content suggestion based on viewing history.

Users can check for the update from their Settings menu.
