Samsung just brought its mobile browser to the desktop
When it comes to desktop browsers, there are several options available such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Duckduckgo, Opera, and so on. It now looks like Samsung wants to toss their hat in the ring as they have since brought Samsung Internet onto Windows PCs and laptops.
For those unfamiliar, Samsung Internet is the browser that comes bundled with Samsung’s smartphones. If you’re not a fan of companies like Google potentially tracking your data with Chrome, it’s a good alternative.
The best part is that the Windows version of Samsung Internet will play nicely with any Windows PC or laptop, not just computers made by Samsung and you can download it from the Microsoft Store. Users will also be able to sync data like browsing history, bookmarks, saved pages, and open tabs, so you can easily pick up where you left off.
Some of the features that users can look forward to include ad blocker support, a secret mode, support for extensions, light and dark themes, and since it’s built on the open-source Chromium project, extensions that you use with Chrome should play nicely with Samsung Internet on the desktop as well, so check it out if you’re looking for an alternative browser.
