Fitbit just Announced New and Useful Features for the Fitbit App

Fitbit users might want to keep tabs on this one – following the massive overhaul of the Fitbit app a couple of months ago, Google’s fitness-focused brand recently announced some new features for the Fitbit app for smartphones, with comes with some handy new functionality for users.

The new features include an easier way to keep an eye on your device’s battery, which can now be viewed under the “Devices Connected to Fitbit” section of the app, within the “Today” tab. This lets users monitor their device battery in case they need to recharge their wearable. Fitbit also added Goal celebrations via the mobile app which helps users note down their milestones – for iOS users, the feature will fully roll out in early 2024.

Fitbit has also brought back Step Streaks after popular demand, which can now be re-accessed on the iOS app version, although this will be the first time that Android users will be able to use the feature. Steps taken before this re-introduction will be added to the overall streak.

Users can also look forward to new focus metrics, which allows better customization within the app for individual health and fitness preferences. Users can choose from a set of preset settings, although they can tweak these for their own focus metrics, which can be changed via the Today screen.

These new changes roll out immediately today, so users might want to check their Fitbit app for the latest update.
