Snapchat could launch a Friends & Family subscription plan

0

Snapchat introduced its own subscription service called Snapchat Plus a while ago. It comes with exclusive features that non-subscribers do not have access to. Priced at $3.99, it’s not too expensive and great for hardcore Snapchat users.

It looks like the company is working on a new subscription option, according to an APK teardown which has revealed a “Friends & Family Plan”. Based on the code strings, it seems that this would allow users to share their Snapchat Plus subscription with their friends and family members, giving them access to all the benefits of Snapchat Plus.

At this point in time it is unclear what other features the Friends and Family Plan might offer or how much it would cost. Presumably it will be more expensive than the individual subscription, but we’re not sure if it might go up with more people you add to the list, or if there’s a fixed amount of users you can add at a time.

There’s no word on when this feature will launch either, but if you’d rather share a Snapchat Plus subscription instead of paying for your own, then this could be something to look forward to. We’ll keep our eyes and ears peeled for more info about its potential launch.
