Following a rather low-key product announcement from a week ago (it was just a new pencil), it seems like Apple is preparing to launch a new wave of products next week, at least according to a new teaser posted recently by the company. It’s unclear yet what products we might see, but many are predicting that it will be a new batch of Mac models.
This speculation is based on a report from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, who notes that the Apple iMac and MacBook Pro now appear to have longer shipping times as shown on Apple’s website, strongly indicating an incoming product refresh. Additionally, the fact that Apple is planning a full event for a product release (instead of a press release) highly points to a major launch.
It’s also rumored that Apple might launch its rumored M3 processor alongside the new Macs during the event. This new development follows after rumors of a new iPad lineup proved to be incorrect, with Apple instead announcing an updated model of its Apple Pencil accessory.
Apple’s launch event takes place on October 30 at 5:00 PM (PT).
