That’s disappointing! Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 will have little to no camera upgrades

0

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 is one of the best foldable phones of 2023, but unlike Samsung’s other flagships, the Flip 5’s cameras are kind of “normal”. They aren’t bad or terrible by any means, but compared to the Galaxy S23 series, it doesn’t feel like Samsung made a lot of effort in that department.

To a certain extent it’s understandable. A lot of camera technology was designed for our regular-shaped smartphones, so with a foldable form factor, companies like Samsung had to make some compromises in their hardware choices.

Unfortunately, it looks like the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 won’t bring about major camera changes that some of you might have been hoping for. This is according to a post on X by Ice Universe who claims that the Flip 6 could basically end up using the same cameras as the Fold 4 and Fold 5 models.

Additional comments have suggested that any real camera changes will most likely take place in the Fold 7, which is expected to use a new camera sensor. If taking photos is a huge priority to you and you want the best possible cameras, then you might want to look elsewhere, maybe the Galaxy S24 series which is expected to be launched next year.
