Threads now lets you edit posts, and unlike X, you won’t have to pay for it
For the longest time ever, Twitter users (when it used to be known as Twitter) had begged the company for the ability to edit their posts, but the company stood their ground and refused to introduce such a feature.
It was only late last year that the company started to test the feature, and after Elon Musk took over and introduced X Premium did the company finally introduce editing. The good news is that it looks like Meta’s Threads is learning from Twitter’s mistakes as Mark Zuckerberg, Meta’s CEO, announced the new feature.
For those who are using Threads, you will now be able to edit your posts after they’ve been submitted. This shouldn’t be surprising as Facebook already allows users to edit their posts, so why not Threads too, right? The best part is that unlike X where you would need to pay for a subscription to use the feature, the editing function for Threads is completely free.
Threads was launched earlier this year as an alternative to X, which has been undergoing some controversial changes ever since Musk took over. While the app was kind of barebones at launch, over the past few months the team has been adding more features to get it up to the standards of its competitors.
