One of the fun things about Christmas, apart from the gathering of friends and family, eating good food, and the presents, is the decoration. We’re sure that many of you look forward to this time of the year where you can start decorating the insides and outsides of your home to make it feel more festive.
Now, if you’re a bit of a geek and would love to make your decorations “smarter”, then you might be interested to learn that Govee has announced a couple of new products for the festive season in the form of the Govee Christmas String Lights and the Govee Permanent Outdoor Lights Pro.
Govee is probably a brand that some of you are familiar with when it comes to affordable smart bulbs and lighting systems, and these new lights will be joining the company’s existing portfolio.
With the Christmas String Lights, these look like the typical string lights you might use to decorate a Christmas tree, but with the main difference being that they’re smarter. There is a built-in microphone that allows the lights to sync to your music, and the use of Govee’s DreamView system lets you sync up with other Govee smart lights to create a theme.
Each of the LEDs in the string lights feature Uni-IC control, which in turn allows each individual LED bulb to be independently controlled, giving you a ton of customization options.
As for the Govee Permanent Outdoor Lights Pro, these are lights designed for outdoors. If your neighborhood has a Christmas decoration competition going on, you can definitely use these lights to impress.
These lights offer a five-channel RGBWW control that allows for high grayscale dimming to create smoother transitions, and there is also a built-in anti-glare panel so that when people look at the lights, there is less discomfort to their eyes. The lights have also been rated as IP67 so they should be able to withstand the outdoor environments they’re installed in.
Speaking of installation, there are a couple of different installation methods to make it easy regardless of the surface materials, plus they are also Matter compatible so it should play nicely with all your devices.
The Govee Christmas String Lights are priced starting at $59.99 while the Govee Permanent Outdoor Lights will be sold starting at $399.99.
