Samsung’s New Budget Tablet Might Cost Less than $200

While Samsung grabbed headlines a few days ago with the launch of its newest Galaxy Tab S9 FE models, it seems that the company also discreetly launched a more affordable addition to its Galaxy Tab lineup in the form of the Tab A9 and A9+. The new tablets were spotted on Samsung’s Guatemalan website, as well as Amazon UAE.

In terms of hardware, the Galaxy Tab A9 comes with a small 8.7-inch IPS screen, with a rather average 800 x 1340 pixel resolution. The tablet also supposedly features 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage inside, alongside MediaTek’s Helio G99 processor. The tablet will be available in Wifi and LTE variants.

Meanwhile, the larger Tab A9+ will feature a larger 11-inch LCD screen with a 1200 x 1920 pixel resolution. Unlike its smaller sibling however, the A9+ will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 695 SoC, with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. There’s also word of a 5G version in addition to a standard Wifi model.

As for price, the LTE-equipped Galaxy Tab A9 is priced at around $190 when converted, although there’s no mention yet of pricing for the larger plus model. Folks looking to grab a super-affordable Samsung tablet should keep an eye out in case Samsung decides to launch it soon for US markets.
