The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE was recently announced and like the company’s other FE products, the Galaxy S23 FE won’t be a true flagship like the Galaxy S23, but it seems that Samsung will be giving it the flagship treatment in terms of Android updates.
It appears that for the Galaxy S23 FE, Samsung has promised that the handset will receive updates until 2027, which means that it will be getting Android 14, Android 15, Android 16, and Android 17. This is a pretty good deal for a non-flagship smartphone.
That’s not all though. Those promised updates only cover OS updates, and following that, users can look forward to security updates for an additional year or two. This means that if you’re shopping on a budget but want to be able to use your phone for the years to come, then the Galaxy S23 FE could be the handset for you.
Granted it might not be as powerful as the Galaxy S23 or other flagships that have launched in 2023, but the promised updates should keep things fresh and exciting for the years to come. The Galaxy S23 FE will be going on sale on the 5th of October in select regions before making its way to the US on the 26th of October where it will be priced starting at $599.
