While Samsung might be famous for its TVs and smartphones, the company does make a pretty decent laptop in its Galaxy Book series. As expected of most companies, there are certain exclusive features designed to make their laptops more appealing compared to the competition.
This includes the Samsung Notes app which is pretty useful if you also own a Samsung phone and want a way to sync your notes together. Unfortunately, it looks like non-Galaxy Book owners will no longer be able to use the app.
This is according to a post on Reddit in which it was discovered that Samsung is now actively blocking non-Galaxy Book owners from using the app. Prior to this, Samsung stopped supporting the installation of the app on non-Galaxy Book laptops, but users were quick to find a workaround, but with this update, it looks like that workaround is no longer feasible.
This is quite unfortunate and while we understand that Samsung might be trying to make it an exclusive feature, opening it up to non-Samsung owners could be a good way of gaining more customers and fans. So if you happen to own a Samsung phone and want a way to sync notes from your PC to your smartphone, you’ll have to find an alternative.
