There’s been no shortage of Google Pixel 8 leaks these past couple of months, and as we get closer and closer to the official launch date we’ve seen a ton of information on Google’s newest phones make their rounds on the web. As such, a new leak gives us a definite idea of how much the upcoming Pixel 8 handsets could cost in the US and UK.
As Tweeted out by online leaker Kamila Wojciechowska, the base model Pixel 8 is expected to launch priced at $699/£699, a hundred-dollar leap from last year’s Pixel 7 model. Meanwhile, the more expensive Pixel 8 Pro will start at $899/£899, retaining the same price from the 7 Pro last year.
Also included in the post are several key hardware specifications – the Pixel 8 will feature a 6.2-inch display with a 60-120Hz refresh rate, a 50MP main camera and 12MP ultrawide lens, and a 10MP front camera. Meanwhile the Pixel 8 Pro will come with a larger 6.7-inch display, a triple-camera setup with a 50MP main camera, 48MP ultrawide and 48MP 5x telephoto, and a 10MP front camera.
Additionally, Google’s newest phones will pack the company’s newest Tensor G3 chip, which is expected to bring some much-needed updates in terms of performance, power efficiency, and heat management. There’s still no official confirmation from Google regarding the details, although we wouldn’t be surprised if these prove to be true.
