Multiple personal profiles are coming to Facebook

Facebook allows users to create one profile for themselves. They can also manage multiple pages by assuming that page’s identity, which might be useful for social media managers who need to post and reply to comments on their business’s Facebook page.

But now in an announcement by Meta, the company has announced that users will be able to create multiple personal profiles for themselves. This will come in handy for users who desire to have a Facebook profile that’s geared more towards friends, colleagues, acquaintances, and so on, but at the same time maintain a separate, more private profile for family and relatives

While users could always sign up for another Facebook account, it would mean having to log in and out of your Facebook accounts whenever you want to switch profiles. With this update, you can use the same email address you used to sign up for your main Facebook account and just add another profile to it.

Meta also states that users must use their real name for their main profile, but their subsequent profiles can use any name they choose. Of course, the same Facebook rules and policies apply to your additional profiles, but other than that there’s really nothing much to it.
