Galaxy S24 Snapdragon Variant Scores over 7,000 Points on Geekbench
The words “Samsung” and “Snapdragon” have proven to be a verbal combination that most often elicits positive reactions from tech enthusiasts, as seen by the general reception of the Samsung Galaxy S23 series devices, which are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.
Which makes this new information all the more relevant, especially during a time when rumors on the internet claim that Samsung’s return to its first-party Exynos chips draws near. More specifically, Twitter user @Tech_Reve (known for his smartphone leaks) recently posted a claim that an upcoming Samsung Galaxy device powered by the still-unreleased Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 has scored an impressive 7,400 points on Geekbench.

Given the recent speculation that next year’s Galaxy S24 Ultra will be skipping Exynos in favor of a Snapdragon chip, many are speculating that the device mentioned in the post is the Galaxy S24 Ultra. On one hand, this would make sense given that this year’s S23 Ultra came powered with Qualcomm’s premiere mobile SoC, and Samsung is very likely to follow in that path with its next top-of-the-line flagship.
If true, the 7,400 score also means that the new phone is 49% more powerful than the S23 Ultra, which previously scored 4,975 points based on Geekbench’s testing methods. Of course nothing is official at the moment given the lack of statements from Samsung, but if proven true, then Android users will want to wait for the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s debut.
