GoPro is certainly one of the biggest names out there when it comes to action cameras, and its Hero product range is no doubt a popular choice among most consumers. With that in mind, the brand just announced the GoPro Hero12 Black, its latest addition to its lineup of compact and rugged outdoor cameras.

The Hero12 Black comes with some pretty sweet specs and features, including a 1/1.9″ sensor with an extra-large 8:7 aspect ratio, that allows for cropping into different sizes including vertical 9:16, widescreen 16:9, traditional 4:3 or full-frame 8:7 aspect ratios. The Hero12 Black also comes with effects including TimeWarp, Time Lapse, Night Lapse and all Night Effects modes.

Designed to be durable and waterproof for up to 33 feet, the Hero12 Black can record footage continuously for up to 155 minutes of 1080p footage (or 70 minutes of 5.3K video). Other details include support for HDR photos and videos, built-in GP-log and LUT support, as well as wireless audio support for compatible devices including AirPods and other Bluetooth audio gear.

The Hero12 Black starts at $399.99, and can be bought alongside the Max Lens Mod 2.0 which costs $99.99 (or $79.99 for GoPro subscribers). Both are available for preorder on GoPro.com starting today, and will be available in stores on September 13, along with GoPro Hero12 Black Creator Edition for $599.99.
