Google’s New Video Series Makes it Easier for Users to Discover New Apps
Since its inception more than a decade ago, the Google Play Store has become home to a wide selection of apps and games, with software designed for different purposes and tasks in mind. With that being said, it can sometimes be difficult to hunt for a specific app or game, especially for users not always up to date on the latest releases on the Play Store.
Google has then decided to address this by kickstarting a new original series called “The Play Report”. According to Google’s official announcement:
The Play Report spotlights the latest and greatest apps and games on Google Play, giving you the “download on what to download.” Each episode will feature expert voices, from creators to Googlers, covering trending content and hidden gems.
At the moment, the pilot episode will be available for select Play users in the United States, and can be viewed at the top of the Play Store homepage. Users can also watch The Play Report on Google’s Youtube, Facebook and Instagram pages, with more episodes coming out in the following weeks.
